Client Overview
Heken Travelscape Private Limited is a travel agency based in Sri Lanka. It designs customised itineraries for guests who travel from all over the world, shaping each trip around what the guest wants to see and how they like to travel, and it also runs a set of premade round tours for guests who prefer a ready route. We worked with Mr. Arosh and Mr. Bhanuka, who asked for a plain, professional website with a light theme that would look trustworthy to an international audience. They wanted it built on their own photographs rather than freely available stock images, so that every picture on the site shows real places and real guests on real tours.
The problem
Heken’s guests arrive from many countries and do not share a language, so a website in only one of them would turn away a large part of the people it is meant for. The company needed a single site that read naturally in English, French and German, rather than a translated afterthought. It also needed a way for a guest to describe the trip they imagine and receive a tour made around them, alongside clear premade round tours for guests who would rather choose a route that already exists. Planning a journey across a country is a visual task, so each tour had to be easy to follow on a map, and because many guests would browse from a phone, the whole site had to be fast and comfortable on a small screen.
Our Solution
We built the site in English, French and German, so a guest can read every page in the language they are most comfortable with. An interactive form lets a guest set out the tour they want and generates a customised tour request, while dedicated pages present each premade round tour. Every tour page carries a tour map that can be dragged and zoomed, so a route can be explored rather than described. The design follows a calm, serene personality: soft light colours, generous space and quiet typography that let the photography lead. The photographs are Heken’s own, including pictures of their guests on tour, which they shared with us and which we also used in our demonstrations. The result is a fully responsive, optimised site that works as well on a phone as on a desktop.
