Client Overview
Udumag is an online store for RC toys, built for Mr. Tharindu. He wanted a fully functional e-commerce platform where customers could find radio-controlled toys, buy them online and follow their order, while the manager could look after the catalogue and the shop’s day-to-day settings without needing a developer. The store was to be easy to use for newcomers and for enthusiasts who already know what they are looking for.
The problem
Shoppers for RC toys want to find the right product quickly, trust the payment, track what they have ordered and get help when something is unclear. The store therefore had to take payments through Stripe and PayPal, help customers search with suggestions as they type, and show each product properly with high-quality photographs, video and a 3D view. Most of these customers browse on a phone, so the shop had to feel natural on a small screen, and the manager needed to upload large, detailed images without making the store slow.
Our Solution
We built a complete e-commerce platform with payments through both Stripe and PayPal. A real-time auto-completion search suggests products as the customer types, which makes finding an item much easier. There is a dedicated help center, order tracking, social login, a wish list and a chatbot. On product pages the manager uploads high-quality images, which an API optimises automatically, and products can also carry videos and a 3D view. The store is built mobile-first, with a bottom-docked menu that is easy to reach with a thumb. It also supports coupons, shipping classes and currency switching, along with many other shop features. The design uses a deep ink and white base with a cobalt accent and soft pastel backgrounds, set in Outfit and Helvetica.
